Dan Melnick Research Inc. was founded in 1997 to provide a vehicle to offer the services of Dan Melnick, Ph.D. Dr. Melnick had more than 20 years of experience working for the federal government including senior staff positions at the Congressional Research Service, Library of Congress, the US Congressional Joint Economic Committee, the National Science Foundation and the US Public Health Service [where he served as acting director of the Office of Applied Studies, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.] Dan Melnick earned a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin in 1970.
